More information
With the Dourdon Vieillard Rosé Brut Intense comes a first-class champagne in the wine glass. In this it shows a wonderfully bright, light red color. The play of pearls of this sparkling wine presents itself in the glass incredibly fine, elegant and long-lasting. If you give it some air in the wine glass by swirling, you can perceive a perfect balance in this sparkling wine, because it stands out neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. In the glass, this Champagne from Dourdon Vieillard shows aromas of raspberry, complemented by lime and red currant. On the palate, the texture of this balanced sparkling wine is wonderfully light, crisp and creamy. Finally, on the finish, this wine from the Champagne wine region delights with beautiful length. Once again, hints of raspberry appear. In the reverberation, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and limestone are added.
Vinification of the Rosé Brut Intense from Dourdon Vieillard
The balanced Rosé Brut Intense from France is a cuvée, made from the grape varieties Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Champagne. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. Of course, Rosé Brut Intense is also defined by more than just the Champagne soil. This Frenchman can be described as an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, presenting itself as exceptionally distinguished and complex. The ripening of the grapes for this wine from Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir is influenced to an undeniable extent by the climate of the growing region. In Champagne, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected among other things in particularly long and uniform grapes and a rather moderate must weight. Following the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Now follows the fermentation of the base wines. After the assemblage of the cuvée, further aging follows on the basis of the Méthode Traditionelle. Subsequently, the Dourdon Vieillard Rosé Brut Intense matures for 6 months on the full yeast.
