In the glass, the Rosé Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo from Talamonti reveals a bright, intense rosé red color. The Talamonti Rosé Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is wonderfully dry to the palate. This rosé wine is never coarse or austere, as you would expect from a wine in the upper price range. On the palate, this balanced rosé wine is characterized by an incredibly light texture. Thanks to the moderate fruit acidity, the Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo rosé flatters the palate with a velvety sensation without lacking freshness. The finish of this youthful rosé wine from the Abruzzo wine-growing region, or more precisely from Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC, impresses with a good aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the soils dominated by sandstone and limestone.
Vinification of the Talamonti Rosé Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo
This rosé wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Montepulciano. Only first-class grapes were used for this exceptionally well-balanced single-varietal wine from Talamonti. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Abruzzo. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into limestone and sandstone soils. The grapes for this rosé wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand once optimum ripeness has been ensured. After harvesting, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
