More information
The powerful Rosso Di Montalcino from Palazzo trickles into the glass with a dense ruby red color. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from the Old World presents wonderfully complex aromas of raspberry, sour cherry and violet, rounded off by forest floor and balsamic, which contributes the expansion in wooden barrels.
This Italian wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. Here it is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Italian enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Taste does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully silky and fleshy. The final of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Tuscany finally captivates with beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by silicate rock.
Vinification of Palazzo Rosso Di Montalcino
This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Sangiovese. Only immaculate grape material was brought in for this wonderfully powerful varietal wine from Palazzo. In Tuscany, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of silicate rock. After the manual harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for 12 months in oak barriques.
