More information
This single varietal Austrian wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of pomelo, lemongrass, plum and pear in the glass. This is joined by hints of roasted hazelnut, walnut and green bell bell pepper.
This Austrian wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 4.5 grams of residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine in the upper price range, this Austrian naturally enraptures with the finest balance for all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need sugar. On the palate, the texture of this light-bodied white wine is wonderfully light and crisp. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Roter Veltliner Klassik presents itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this storable white wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria finally inspires with good length. Once again, hints of jasmine and quince appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by loess and sand join in.
Vinification of the Roter Veltliner Klassik by Leth
This elegant white wine from Austria is made from the grape variety Roter Veltliner. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lower Austria. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sand and loess. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Roter Veltliner Klassik is left to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
Food recommendation for Leth Roter Veltliner Klassik
This Austrian white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to omelet with salmon and fennel, coconut-lime fish curry or fruity endive salad.
