In the glass, the Rotgipfler Klassik from Piriwe presents a bright golden yellow color. In the glass, this white wine from Piriwe presents aromas of ripe apple, lemon, mirabelle and green apple, complemented by mint / lemon balm. The Piriwe Rotgipfler Klassik presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine lover. This white wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. Balanced and complex, this light, silky and crisp white wine presents itself on the palate. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria finally inspires with beautiful length. There are again hints of mirabelle and green apple. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of Piriwe Rotgipfler Klassik
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Rotgipfler. Only impeccable grapes were brought in for this exceptionally balanced varietal wine from Piriwe. In Lower Austria, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone. After harvesting, the grapes are taken to the press house in the fastest possible way. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Rotgipfler Klassik can harmonize further for several months on the fine lees.
Supper recommendation for Piriwe Rotgipfler Klassik
This Austrian white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to vegetable stew with pesto, omelet with salmon and fennel, or coconut-lime fish curry.
