More information
The perlage of this red wine shines steadily and finely in the glass. This single-varietal German wine displays delightfully fragrant notes of lilac, violet, rose and lavender in the glass. These are joined by hints of other fruits.
This rosé from Castell-Castell is ideal for all wine lovers who like it dry. However, it is never dry or brittle, as one would expect from a wine in the upper price range. Light-footed and complex, this crisp Rotling presents itself on the palate. With its lively fruit acidity, the Rotling presents itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this ripening Rotling from the wine-growing region of Franconia finally impresses with good reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the soils dominated by clay and loam.
Vinification of the Rotling from Castell-Castell
The basis for the elegant Rotling from Franconia are grapes from the grape variety Acolon. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Franconia. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of loam, clay and marl. The grapes for this Rotling from Germany are harvested, at the time of optimal ripeness, exclusively by hand . After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully ground. The fermentation of the base wines follows.
Food recommendation for the Castell-Castell Rotling
This German Rotling is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to omelet with salmon and fennel, lemon chili chicken with bulgur or roasted trout with ginger pear.
