More information
The Rotwild Müller-Thurgau from Peter Mertes in Rheinhessen presents a brilliant, light yellow color in the glass. With a little time in the glass, this white wine from Germany presents wonderfully expressive aromas of nashi pear, quince, apple and pear, rounded off by other fruity nuances.
On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly light texture. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Rotwild Müller-Thurgau is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally inspires with beautiful length. Once again, hints of apple and quince show.
Vinification of the Rotwild Müller-Thurgau from Peter Mertes
The elegant Rotwild Müller-Thurgau from Germany is a single-varietal wine, made from the grape variety Müller-Thurgau. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Rotwild Müller-Thurgau is allowed to further harmonize on the fine lees for a few months. After the wine is finished, the Rotwild Müller-Thurgau is carefully harmonized.
Food recommendation for the Rotwild Müller-Thurgau from Peter Mertes
Drink this white wine from Germany best well chilled at 8 - 10°C as an accompanying wine to fruity endive salad, omelet with salmon and fennel or roasted trout with ginger pear.
