Vinification of the Domaine du Vieux Lazaret Rouge Châteauneuf-du-Pape
The basis for the powerful Rouge Châteauneuf-du-Pape from the southern Rhône Valley are grapes from the varieties Counoise, Cinsault, Garnacha, Mourvèdre and Syrah. Rouge Châteauneuf-du-Pape is an Old World wine through and through, as this Frenchman breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the grape harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Rouge Châteauneuf-du-Pape can further harmonize for 18 months on the fine lees.
