With the Mas des Tannes Classique Rouge Bio from Domaine Paul Mas comes a first-class red wine in the wine glass. In this it shows a wonderfully bright, purple color. This French cuvée flatters in the glass wonderfully expressive notes of plum jam, plums, forest fruit jam and morello cherries. These are joined by hints of cinnamon, gingerbread spice and oriental spices.
This dry red wine from Domaine Paul Mas is something for purists who would ideally have 0.0 grams of sugar in their wine. The Mas des Tannes Classique Rouge Bio already comes very close to this, as it was vinified with just 2.5 grams of residual sugar. The final of this red wine from the wine-growing region of the Languedoc finally convinces with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by limestone and gravel.
Vinification of Mas des Tannes Classique Rouge
The basis for the balanced Mas des Tannes Classique Rouge Bio from the Languedoc are grapes from the grape varieties Carignan, Garnacha and Mourvèdre. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in the Languedoc. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay, limestone and gravel. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for Mas des Tannes Classique Rouge Bio are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place in small wood and large wood at controlled temperatures. After their end, the Mas des Tannes Classique Rouge Bio is aged for several months in French and American oak barrels.
