More information about Rouge Pessac-Léognan AOC - Château Gazin Rocquencourt

The powerful Rouge Pessac-Léognan of Château Gazin Rocquencourt enters the glass with a dense purple color. The edges also show a color transition to garnet red. When swirling the wine glass, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which is evident in church windows at the rim of the glass. To the nose, this Château Gazin Rocquencourt red wine reveals all sorts of blackberries, plums and figs. As if that wasn't already impressive, the aging in small wooden barrels adds more aromas like toasted wood and licorice.

On the palate, the Rouge Pessac-Léognan from Château Gazin Rocquencourt starts out wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. Pressive and complex, this fleshy red wine presents itself on the palate. The finale of this good aging red wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux finally thrilled with considerable reverberation.

Vinification of the Rouge Pessac-Léognan from Château Gazin Rocquencourt

The powerful Rouge Pessac-Léognan from France is a cuvée, pressed from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The Rouge Pessac-Léognan is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for the Rouge Pessac-Léognan are harvested exclusively by hand without the use of coarse and barely selective grape harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the Rouge Pessac-Léognan can further harmonize on the fine lees for 15 months.

Food recommendation for the Rouge Pessac-Léognan from Château Gazin Rocquencourt

Drink this red wine from France ideally tempered at 15 - 18 ° C as a companion to potato pan with salmon, pasta with sausage dumplings or goose breast with ginger red cabbage and marjoram.
