More information about Ruber Spätburgunder trocken von der Ahr - Weinhaus Nelles

In the glass, the Ruber Pinot Noir from the Ahr of Weinhaus Nelles reveals a brilliant shimmering light red color. In the glass, this red wine from Weinhaus Nelles offers aromas of blackberries, morello cherries, black cherries, black currants and plums, complemented by black tea, dark chocolate and vanilla. The Weinhaus Nelles Ruber Pinot Noir from the Ahr region impresses with its elegantly dry flavor. It was brought to the bottle with only 4.5 grams of residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine in the high quality wine range, this German wine naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. Light-footed and multilayered, this silky red wine presents itself on the palate. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Ruber Pinot Noir from the Ahr flatters the palate with a velvety feel, without lacking freshness at the same time. The final of this red wine from the wine-growing region of the Ahr finally convinces with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by clay and slate.

Vinification of the Ruber Pinot Noir from the Ahr by Weinhaus Nelles

The elegant Ruber Pinot Noir from the Ahr region of Germany is a single varietal wine made from the Pinot Noir grape variety. In the Ahr, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay, slate, silicate rock and loess soil. Moreover, the grapes of this top wine from Weinhaus Nelles do not grow in the flat land, but dig their roots into the subsoil in steep slopes. The steep slope cultivation ensures that even in cooler wine-growing regions with less long vegetation periods, the vines receive a maximum of sun. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Ruber Pinot Noir from the Ahr are harvested exclusively by hand without the aid of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully milled. Fermentation then takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months in oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Ruber Pinot Noir from the Ahr by Weinhaus Nelles

This German red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is a perfect accompaniment to braised chicken in red wine, goose breast with gingered red cabbage and marjoram or veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes.
