Poured into a sherry glass / nosing glass, Fortified Wine from the Old World displays wonderfully expressive aromas of black cherry, blueberry, blackberry and morello cherry, rounded out by gingerbread spice, cocoa bean and dark chocolate contributed by barrel aging.
The Ruby Select Reserve can rightly be described as particularly fruit-forward and velvety, having been vinified with a pleasantly mellow flavor profile. On the tongue, this powerful port is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Ruby Select Reserve presents itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate.
