    Ruvej Barolo DOCG 2015 - Paolo Manzone

    With the Paolo Manzone Ruvej Barolo a first-class red wine comes into the waved glass. Here it offers a wonderfully dense, ruby red colour. At the edges there is also a colour transition to garnet red. The first nose of Ruvej Barolo presents nuances of blackberries, morello cherries and mulberries. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel ageing and even more fruity-balsamic nuances.

    The Ruvej Barolo of Paolo Manzone is ideal for all wine lovers who like it dry. However, it is never sparse or brittle. This dense red wine is powerful and complex on the palate. With its lively fruit acidity, Ruvej Barolo is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this very mature red wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region, more precisely from Barolo DOCG, finally inspires with a remarkable aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and limestone.

    Vinification of Ruvej Barolo by Paolo Manzone

    The basis for the powerful Ruvej Barolo from Piedmont are grapes from the Nebbiolo grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Piedmont. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. The berries for this red wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand at the time of optimum ripeness. After the grape harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. At the end of this process, the Ruvej Barolo is left to harmonise on the fine lees for 38 months.

    This Italian red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It goes perfectly as an accompanying wine with ossobuco, lemon-chili chicken with bulgur or rocket-penne.
