The Saigner Rosé from Markus Schneider from the Palatinate, offers a brilliant, strong rosé-red colour in the tilted glass. At a closer look, we also see beautiful red-golden highlights. This German cuvée reveals in the glass wonderfully youthful notes of mulberry, blackcurrant, blueberry and blackberry. To this are added notes of other fruits.
It inspires with its elegant dry taste and was bottled with 5.0 grams of residual sugar. As one can expect, this German wine naturally enchants with the finest balance in all dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. Light-footed and multi-layered, this crisp rosé wine presents itself on the palate. The Saigner Rosé presents itself fantastically fresh and lively on the palate through its concise fruit acidity. In the finish, this rosé wine from the wine-growing region of the Palatinate finally inspires with good length. There are again hints of blueberry and mulberry.
Vinification of the Saigner Markus Schneider Rosé
This elegant rosé wine from Germany is made from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Dorsa, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. In the Palatinate, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sedimentary and weathered rock.
After the harvest, the grapes are taken to the press house by the quickest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and small wooden tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by a maturation on the fine yeast for several months before the wine is finally drawn off.
