More information about Saint-Estephe AOC - Château Montrose

The Saint-Estephe from the pen of Château Montrose of Bordeaux reveals a bright ruby color in the glass. Held at a slight angle, the red wine glass reveals a charming garnet red hue at the rims. If you give it some air in the wine glass by swirling it, you can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the glass walls. Poured into a red wine glass, this Old World red wine reveals delightfully distinguished aromas of morello cherry, black cherry, plum and damson, rounded out by black tea, gingerbread spice and dark chocolate.

On the palate, Château Montrose's Saint-Estephe opens pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully dense. In the finish, this excellent storable red wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux finally inspires with beautiful length. Once again, hints of plum and morello cherry show through.

Vinification of the Château Montrose Saint-Estephe

The balanced Saint-Estephe from France is a cuvée, vinified from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Of course, the Saint-Estephe is also determined by climate and viticultural style Saint-Estephe. This French wine can be called an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, exceptionally distinguished. After the grape harvest, the grapes arrive at the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the Saint-Estephe of Château Montrose

This French wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to veal boeuf with beans and tomatoes, boeuf bourguignon or roasted calf's liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce.
