More information about Saint Estèphe AOC - Château Haut-Beausejour

With the Château Haut-Beausejour Saint Estèphe comes a first-class red wine in the wine glass. Here it reveals a wonderfully dense, crimson color. If the glass is held at a slight angle, a transition of the color towards garnet red can be seen at the edges. After the initial swirl, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, evident in distinct church windows at the rim of the glass. This French cuvée flatters in the glass wonderfully expressive notes of black currants, blueberries, mulberries and blackberries. These are joined by hints of gingerbread spice, cocoa bean and dark chocolate.

The Château Haut-Beausejour Saint Estèphe presents itself to the wine lover pleasantly dry. This red wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine top wine range. On the tongue, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly silky and fleshy texture. In the finish, this storable red wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux finally inspires with beautiful length. Again, hints of mulberry and blueberry show. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone and gravel dominated soils are added.

Vinification of the Saint Estèphe from Château Haut-Beausejour

The basis for the powerful Saint Estèphe from Bordeaux are grapes from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Bordeaux. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and gravel. After the hand harvest, the grapes arrive quickly at the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in the cellar at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by aging .
