More information about Saint-Joseph AOP - Maison Tardieu-Laurent
In the glass, the organically produced Saint-Joseph from the pen of Maison Tardieu-Laurent shows a dense purple color. After the first swirl, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which is evident in strong church windows at the edge of the glass. The first nose of Saint-Joseph flatters with notes of red currant. The fruity aspects of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as bacon fat.
The Saint-Joseph from Maison Tardieu-Laurent is ideal for all wine lovers who like as little residual sugar in the wine as possible. However, it never appears meager or brittle, but round and smooth. This velvety red wine is full-bodied and complex on the palate. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Saint-Joseph reveals itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this well storable red wine from the wine-growing region of the Rhône Valley finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of red currant.
Vinification of the Saint-Joseph from Maison Tardieu-Laurent
The basis for the powerful Saint-Joseph from the Rhône Valley are grapes from the grape variety Syrah. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.
Food recommendation for the Maison Tardieu-Laurent Saint-Joseph
