The Saltèr Extra Brut Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore from the Veneto wine-growing region has a brilliant, shimmering platinum yellow color in the glass. The effervescence of this Prosecco Spumante is lively and long-lasting in the glass. Poured into a sparkling wine glass, this sparkling wine from the Old World presents wonderfully expressive aromas of Nashi pear, apple, quince and pear, rounded off with other fruity nuances.
This Italian wine delights with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with just 4 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need residual sugar. This light sparkling wine is light-footed and complex on the palate. Thanks to its balanced fruit acidity, the Saltèr Extra Brut Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore has a soft mouthfeel without lacking freshness. On the finish, this Prosecco Spumante from the Veneto wine-growing region finally delights with its considerable length. Once again, there are hints of quince and apple. Mineral notes from the marl and limestone-dominated soils are added to the finish.
Vinification of the Ruggeri Saltèr Extra Brut Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore
This elegant sparkling wine from Italy is made from the Glera grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Veneto. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of limestone, clay and marl. After the grapes are harvested by hand, they are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation of the base wines. After the composition of the final Prosecco Spumante, further ageing takes place using the Charmat method. The Ruggeri Saltèr Extra Brut Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore then matures for several months in the bottle and is finally disgorged.
