More information about Sandgrube 13 Rosé Zweigelt - Winzer Krems

The light-footed Sandgrube 13 Rosé Zweigelt from the house Winzer Krems shines into the glass with brilliant purple. Poured into a white wine glass, this rosé wine from Austria reveals wonderfully youthful aromas of strawberry and red currant, rounded off by other fruity nuances.

On the palate, the Sandgrube 13 Rosé Zweigelt from Winzer Krems starts pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed rosé wine presents itself wonderfully light. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Sandgrube 13 Rosé Zweigelt is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful rosé wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria finally inspires with good length. Again, hints of strawberry and red currant appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by loess soil join in.

Vinification of the Winzer Krems Sandgrube 13 Rosé Zweigelt

The basis for the elegant Sandgrube 13 Rosé Zweigelt from Austria are grapes from the Zweigelt grape variety. In Lower Austria, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of loess. The grapes for this rosé wine from Austria, after ensuring optimal ripeness, are harvested particularly quickly and at the coolest possible time of day to preserve their aroma. After the manual harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.

Food recommendation for the Winzer Krems 13 Rosé Zweigelt

Drink this rosé wine from Austria best well chilled at 8 - 10°C as a companion to fruity endive salad, spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto or coconut-lime fish curry.
