The Borgo Condé Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore is a first-class red wine in a glass. It presents a wonderfully dense, ruby red color. The edges also show a color transition to garnet red. This Italian cuvée flatters the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of mulberries, lilacs, roses and lilies. There are also hints of gingerbread spice, vanilla and cinnamon.
This wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the high quality wine range, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. The finish of this well-matured red wine from the Emilia-Romagna wine-growing region ultimately impresses with a beautiful finish.
Vinification of the Borgo Condé Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore
The basis for the powerful Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore from Emilia-Romagna are grapes from the Merlot and Sangiovese varieties. After the grape harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in large oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
