In the glass, the Sangre de Toro Original from the house of Miguel Torres reveals a bright purple color. This Spanish cuvée shows wonderfully expressive notes of black cherries, mulberries, morello cherries and blackberries in the glass. These are joined by hints of toasted barrique, cocoa bean and cigar box.
This dry red wine from Miguel Torres is ideal for people who would prefer 0.0 grams of residual sugar in their wine. The Sangre de Toro Original already comes very close to this, as it was vinified with just 0.5 grams of residual sugar. On the tongue, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety and dense texture. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Sangre de Toro Original flatters with a velvety mouthfeel, without lacking juicy liveliness. In the finish, this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Catalonia finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of blackberry and mulberry. Vinification of the Sangre de Toro Original by Miguel Torres
The basis for the balanced Sangre de Toro Original from Catalonia are grapes from the grape varieties Cariñena and Garnacha. In Catalonia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and limestone. After the manual harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, Sangre de Toro Original is aged for 6 months in French and American oak barrels.
