More information
With the Wohlmuth Sauvignon Blanc Steinriegl winery comes a first-class white wine in the glass. In this it presents a wonderfully bright, light yellow color. If you swirl the glass, you can perceive a first-class balance in this white wine, because it stands out on the glass walls neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It has been bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a true quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities. And so this Austrian naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need sugar. The finish of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Styria, more precisely from southern Styria, is ultimately convincing with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the slate-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Sauvignon Blanc Steinriegl of Winery Wohlmuth
The balanced Sauvignon Blanc Steinriegl from Austria is a single varietal wine, vinified from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Styria. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of slate. Clearly, Sauvignon Blanc Steinriegl is also determined by more than just the soil of southern Styria. This Austrian can be described as an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, presenting itself as exceptionally complex. The berries for this white wine from Austria, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
