More information
With the Croix d'Or Sauvignon Croix d'Or Vin de Pays d'Oc comes a first-class white wine in the swirled glass. In this it shows a wonderfully brilliant, light yellow color. The bouquet of this white wine from Languedoc captivates with notes of lemongrass, pink grapefruit, lime and grapefruit. If we trace the aromatics further, whole-nut chocolate, roasted almond and brittle come in.
This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the upper price range, this Frenchman naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this fleet-footed white wine is wonderfully light and velvety. In the finish, this storable white wine from the wine-growing region of the Languedoc finally inspires with beautiful length. Once again, hints of lemon and lemongrass show through.
Vinification of the Sauvignon Croix d'Or Vin de Pays d'Oc by Croix d'Or
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Sauvignon Blanc. For this exceptionally elegant varietal wine from Croix d'Or, only the best grapes were brought in. After the hand harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging.
