The Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese from the Mosel winegrowing region appears in the glass in brilliantly shimmering light yellow. To the nose, this Egon Müller white wine shows all sorts of physalis, vineyard peach, nashi pear, cherry blossoms and mangos. As if that wasn't already impressive, the stainless steel aging adds more flavors like sun-warmed rock and forest floor.
The finale of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Mosel, more precisely from Wiltingen, finally captivates with beautiful reverberation.
Vinification of the Egon Müller Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese
The basis for the elegant Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese from Mosel are grapes from the Riesling grape variety. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
