More information
With the Bickel-Stumpf Scheurebe red sandstone comes a first-class white wine in the swirled glass. In this it offers a wonderfully bright, light yellow color. In the glass, this white wine from Bickel-Stumpf offers aromas of lime, pink grapefruit, lemons, grapefruits and lemongrass, complemented by juniper, lovage and green peppers. The Scheurebe red sandstone can rightly be described as particularly fruit-forward and velvety, having been vinified with a pleasantly mellow flavor profile.
On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully light. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Scheurebe red sandstone presents itself exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Franconia finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of lemon and orange. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by sandstone are added.
Vinification of the Bickel-Stumpf Scheurebe Buntsandstein
This balanced white wine from Germany is made from the grape variety Scheurebe. In Franconia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils dominated by sandstone. The grapes for this white wine from Germany, after ensuring optimal ripeness, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes immediately enter the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by a few months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
