The Secrets de Mar Tinto of Clos Galena from the Catalan wine region DO Terra Alta is an elegant, complex and soft red wine cuvée vinified from the grape varieties Carinena, Garnacha and Syrah.
In the glass shines a strong ruby red with purple highlights. The nose is taken by an expressive variety of aromas. The bouquet reveals a potpourri of red and black fruits - especially morello cherries, blackberries and blueberries present themselves. In addition, spicy nuances join. On the palate, this Spanish red wine has a wonderfully soft body that is coated by elegant tannins. The finish has a nice, pleasant length.
Vinification of the Clos Galena Tinto Secrets de Mar
The vines all have an age of over 30 years. The grapes are fermented and macerated in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 26 to 28 degrees Celsius for 20 to 25 days. Then the grapes are gently pressed and only the juice of the first pressing is used for this red wine. This is followed by malolactic fermentation for 30 days in steel tanks. Finally, this wine is aged for 4 months in French oak barrels.
