More information
In the glass, the Settebraccia Rosso Salento 1.5 l Magnum from Cantina Sampietrana offers a dense purple-red color. When the glass is swirled, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which is evident in the strong stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. On the nose, this Cantina Sampietrana red wine reveals all kinds of blackberry, blueberry, redcurrant and plum. As if that wasn't already impressive, the ageing in large wooden barrels adds further aromas such as liquorice, blueberry and cocoa.
This Italian wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with 9 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine from the Icon wine segment, this Italian wine naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. This velvety and dense red wine is full-bodied and multi-faceted on the palate. The Settebraccia Rosso Salento 1.5 l Magnum is impressively fresh and lively on the palate thanks to its concise fruit acidity. The finish of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Apulia, more precisely from Salento IGT, impresses with its remarkable persistence. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the limestone and clay-dominated soils.
