More information
The Since 1952 Brindisi Riserva from Cantina Sampietrana is a tribute to the year in which the winery was founded. In the glass, this red Brindisi Riserva is an intense ruby red and strikingly elegant. Typical wine aromas and scents of berry fruits and wild berries unfold on the palate. Delicate and dry on the palate, the Since 1952 impresses with its well-integrated tannins and good structure, with a balanced interplay of acidity and slight residual sweetness. The very long finish ends in a pleasant and appealing aftertaste.
Vinification of the Since 1952 Brindisi Riserva DOC from Cantina Sampietrana
For this red wine from the Riserva product line, 80% of the autochthonous Negroamaro grape variety and 20% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo are vinified together. The vines, which grow on calcareous and clayey soils, are cultivated using the traditional "alberello pugliese" method, which provides optimal results, especially for the local grape varieties. After manual harvesting from the second week of September, the grapes are macerated and fermented at a controlled temperature, then gently pressed and the marc separated from the wine. The wine is matured for 12 months in barriques and then aged for 2 years in the bottle before being sold as a Riserva.
