More information
In the glass, the Sió Rosat from Bodegas Ribas reveals a bright light red color. Swaying the glass, one can perceive a perfect balance in this rosé wine, because it does not stand out on the walls of the glass neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. The first nose of Sió Rosat flatters with notes of violets, raspberries and strawberries. The fruity parts of the bouquet are joined by more fruity-balsamic nuances.
The Bodegas Ribas Sió Rosat presents itself to the connoisseur wonderfully dry. This rosé wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this balanced rosé wine is characterized by an incredibly light texture. The final of this youthful rosé wine from the wine-growing region of the Balearic Islands, more precisely from Mallorca VT, finally captivates with good reverberation.
Vinification of the Sió Rosat from Bodegas Ribas
The basis for the balanced Sió Rosat from Balearic Islands are grapes from the Manto Negro grape variety. Sió Rosat is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Spaniard exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Sió Rosat are harvested exclusively by hand without the use of punishing and less selective grape harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
