The bouquet of this red wine from Le Marche seduces with nuances of blackcurrant, mulberry, blueberry and blackberry. If we explore the aromas further, the oak wood adds oriental spices, dark chocolate and black tea.
The Velenosi Solestà Rosso Piceno Superiore is wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or austere, but round and smooth. The Solestà Rosso Piceno Superiore presents itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate thanks to its concise fruit acidity. On the finish, this youthful red wine from the Marche wine-growing region finally delights with its beautiful length. Once again, there are hints of blueberry and blackcurrant.
Vinification of the Solestà Rosso Piceno Superiore from Velenosi
Sangiovese and Montepulciano grapes form the basis for the first-class and wonderfully powerful Solestà Rosso Piceno Superiore cuvée from Velenosi. After the grape harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in large oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn off.
