More information
The Pinot Noir Blanc de Noir from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen offers itself in the glass in brilliantly shimmering copper gold. Poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from Germany reveals wonderfully youthful aromas of gooseberry, lime, white currants and honeysuckle, rounded off by other fruity nuances.
This dry Blanc de Noir from Weingut Manz is for wine lovers who don't like it bone dry, as it was pressed with 4.9 grams of residual sugar. Light-footed and complex, this fleshy white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Pinot Noir Blanc de Noir reveals itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this Blanc de Noir from Rheinhessen finally inspires with good length. Again, hints of honeysuckle and jasmine appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by marl and limestone join in.
Vinification of the Manz Estate Pinot Noir Blanc de Noir
This elegant Blanc de Noir from Germany is vinified from the Pinot Noir grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Rheinhessen. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and marl. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. After a short maceration period, the must is drawn off. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Pinot Noir Blanc de Noir can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for several months.
