More information
This light-bodied Pinot Noir from the pen of Jean Stodden enters the glass with a brilliant light red color. The first nose of the Pinot Noir reveals nuances of morello cherry, blackberry and black currant. The fruity aspects of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as even more fruity balsamic nuances.
The Jean Stodden Pinot Noir presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine drinker. This red wine is never coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the high quality wine range. Light-footed and multifaceted, this crisp red wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Pinot Noir reveals itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of the Ahr, more precisely from Rech, finally convinces with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and sand.
Vinification of the Pinot Noir from Jean Stodden
This elegant red wine from Germany is made from the Pinot Noir grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Ahr region. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and sand. Moreover, the grapes of this top wine from Jean Stodden do not grow in the lowlands, but dig their roots into the subsoil in steep slopes. The steep slope cultivation ensures that even in cooler wine-growing regions with shorter vegetation periods, the vines receive a maximum of sunshine. After the hand harvest, the grapes arrive quickly at the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
Food recommendation for the Pinot Noir from Jean Stodden
