More information
The Pinot Noir from the Sonnenhof winery in Württemberg offers a bright, light red color in the wine glass. This single-varietal German wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of raspberries, violets and roses in the glass. There are also hints of other fruits.
This German wine delights with its straightforward, dry taste. It was bottled with 4.5 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this German wine naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily require sugar. The texture of this well-balanced red wine is wonderfully dense on the palate. Thanks to the balanced fruit acidity, this Pinot Noir flatters the palate with a soft mouthfeel without lacking in juicy liveliness. The finale of this red wine from the Württemberg wine-growing region is convincing with a beautiful finish.
Vinification of Weingut Sonnenhof Pinot Noir
The basis for this balanced Pinot Noir from Germany are grapes from the Pinot Noir grape variety. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are transported to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of this process, the Pinot Noir can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
Dining recommendation for Weingut Sonnenhof Pinot Noir
Ideally enjoy this red wine from Germany at a temperature of 15 - 18°C as an accompaniment to vegetable couscous with beef meatballs, boeuf bourguignon or stuffed peppers.
