The light-footed Sparkling Secco from Weingut Dr. Koehler glides into the glass with a brilliant light yellow color. This matured white wine also flatters the eye with golden-yellow reflections. To the nose, this Weingut Dr. Koehler white wine reveals all sorts of mangos, grapefruits, pineapple, guavas and limes. As if that wasn't already impressive, the stainless steel aging adds more aromas like cinnamon, cocoa bean and dark chocolate.
Weingut Dr. Koehler Sparkling Secco shows us an incredibly fruity taste on the palate, which is of course due to its residual sweet flavor profile. On the palate, the texture of this light-bodied white wine presents itself wonderfully light. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Sparkling Secco is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this good storable from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally inspires with beautiful length. Again, hints of pineapple and lime appear.
Vinification of the Sparkling Secco from Weingut Dr. Koehler
The elegant Sparkling Secco from Germany is a cuvée vinified from the grape varieties Kerner, Müller-Thurgau and Riesling. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
