Vinification of the Griesbauerhof St. Magdalener Classico
The balanced St. Magdalener Classico from Italy is a cuvée, made from the grape varieties Lagrein and Vernatsch. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of sand. The grapes for this red wine from Italy are harvested, at the time of optimal ripeness, exclusively by hand. After harvesting, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the St. Magdalener Classico can harmonize further for several months on the fine lees.
