On the breezy coasts of southern Sicily, Stemmari owns vineyards on estates in Sambuca di Sicilia in the province of Agrigento and Acate in the province of Ragusa. Each variety is carefully selected to obtain the best conditions at the sunny vineyards. Autochthonous and international grape varieties are grown, such as:
- Pinot Grigo
- Nero d'Avola
- Pinot Noir
The wine cellar
Stemmari 's wine cellar was built like a traditional Sicilian estate ("baglio"). A sign of the deep respect for the Sicilian tradition and land. Stemmari combines modern technology with tradition in the winery to vinify wines of flavor intensity and high quality.
Stemmari 's well-coordinated team of agronomists and oenologists are behind the development of the wines day after day. Commitment, great expertise and a vocation for winemaking are perfectly combined.
Be Green - Sustainability
Stemmari aims its winemaking at a production model that is compatible with the environment. Vineyards and winery are coordinated in such a way that the impact on the environment is, and already has been, reduced as much as possible. In fact, in 2002, Stemmari was the first winery to be awarded the voluntary EMAS 2 certification for environmental management.
