In the glass, the Sulzfelder Spätburgunder from Zehnthof shows a bright light red color. After the first swirl, one can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it stands out on the glass walls neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. The bouquet of this red wine from Franconia captivates with nuances of blueberry, black currant, mulberry and blackberry. If we trace the aromatics further, juniper, Mediterranean herbs and vanilla are added.
On the palate, the Sulzfelder Spätburgunder from Zehnthof starts wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. Finally, on the finish, this youthful from the Franconian winegrowing region delights with good length. There are again hints of blackberry and black currant. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of the Zehnthof Sulzfelder Pinot Noir
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Pinot Noir. Only immaculate grape material was harvested for this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Zehnthof. In Franconia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone. After the hand harvest, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Sulzfelder Pinot Noir is aged for several months in oak barrels.

This red wine from Germany is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to Boeuf Bourguignon, Arugula Penne or Red Onion Stuffed with Couscous and Apricots.
