On the tongue, this light-bodied dessert wine is characterized by an immensely creamy, silky, dense and velvety texture. The finish of this dessert wine from the wine-growing region of Piedmont finally thrills with beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the marl-dominated soils.
Vinification of Tardivo Moscato Spumante from Cascina Fonda
The elegant Tardivo Moscato Spumante from Italy is a single-vineyard wine, vinified from the Yellow Muscat grape variety. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in Piedmont. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of marl. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.
