The Tenuta Frescobaldi di Castiglioni Toscana IGT by Tenuta di Castiglioni is purple in colour with violet reflections. The intense nose is dominated by fruity aromas of red berries such as strawberries and currants, followed by pleasantly spicy and balsamic notes of aniseed and cinnamon and a delicate hint of cocoa. On the palate it is long and persistent, supported by a beautiful body. A remarkable acidity and dense, well-bonded tannins fill the mouth and lead to a fruity finish.

Serve it with stewed or fried beef, roast pork, rabbit and wild boar dishes and well-ripened cheeses.
