The winemaker from Ribera del Duero

Teófilo Reyes and the Ribera del Duero wine region simply belong together. He is probably the best known and most successful winemaker from Ribera del Duero. Teófilo Reyes vinified his first own wine at the age of 74 - and it was a terrific start in the wine world. Wine Spectator ranked his wines among the 10 best in the world.

The estate is located near Peñafiel. The landmark of the Ribera del Duero, the mighty castle of Peñafiel, adorns the winery logo.

Today, the winery and its 60 hectares of vineyards are taken care of by his two sons, Juan José and Luis Reyes. Teofilo Reyes can not be prouder of the two, because they are just as talented as the father.
