More information about Three Pines Syrah - Stark Condé

In the glass, the Three Pines Syrah from Stark Condé reveals a dense purple color. With a bit of side lay, the wine glass reveals a charming garnet red hue at the rims. When swirling the glass, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, evident in distinct church windows at the rim of the glass. In the glass, this red wine from Stark Condé offers aromas of black currant and blackberry, complemented by white pepper. This red wine from Stark Condé is ideal for wine drinkers who like it absolutely dry. The Three Pines Syrah already comes quite close to this, as it was vinified with just 1.4 grams of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully velvety. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Three Pines Syrah flatters the palate with a velvety feeling without lacking juicy liveliness. In the finish, this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of the Western Cape finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of black currant and blackberry show. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by granite and clay are added.

Vinification of the Stark Condé Three Pines Syrah

The powerful Three Pines Syrah from South Africa is a single varietal wine, made from the Syrah grape variety. In the Western Cape, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of granite and clay. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the powerful Three Pines Syrah is aged for another 22 months in French oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Three Pines Syrah from Stark Condé

This red wine from South Africa is best enjoyed at a temperate 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes, veal and onion casserole or red onion stuffed with couscous and apricots.
