More information
The Thüngersheimer Johannisberg Silvaner from the wine-growing region of Franconia presents itself in the glass in bright light yellow. When swirling the glass, one can perceive a first-class balance in this white wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. In the glass, this white wine from Bickel-Stumpf reveals aromas of quince, nashi pear, apples and pears, complemented by smoked meat, sun-warmed rocks and brioche. The Bickel-Stumpf Thüngersheimer Johannisberg Silvaner presents itself to the wine lover wonderfully dry. This white wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine premium and site wine segment. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully crisp. With its present fruit acidity, the Thüngersheimer Johannisberg Silvaner presents itself exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Franconia, which can be stored well, finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of apple and quince show through.
Vinification of the Bickel-Stumpf Thüngersheimer Johannisberg Silvaner
The basis for the balanced Thüngersheimer Johannisberg Silvaner from Franconia are grapes from the Silvaner grape variety. Without question, Thüngersheimer Johannisberg Silvaner is also determined by climatic and stylistic factors Thüngersheim. This German wine can literally be called an Old World wine, which presents itself in an extraordinarily impressive way. The fact that Silvaner grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has a very high influence on the ripening of the grapes. This manifests itself, among other things, in particularly long and even grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the pressing house. Here they are selected and carefully milled. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
