More information about Tokaji Szamorodni 0,5 l - Tokaj Oremus
The Tokaji Szamorodni from Tokaj Oremus is vinified from the grape varieties Furmint and Harslevelü and is a juicy, lively dessert wine. The word Szamorodni comes from Polish and means "born - grown". This is because the grapes are harvested as they grow on the vines.
In the glass, this wine has a strong golden color with amber reflections. The elegant bouquet is dominated by a nutty aroma (especially hazelnuts and almonds) and subtle spicy notes of vanilla. On the palate, this Tokaj presents a lively acidity that harmonizes perfectly with the juicy sweetness. The aromas of the nose are also reflected and accompany into the pleasantly long finish.
Vinification of the Oremus Szamorodni Tokaji
The berries are carefully hand-picked from the vines as they are grown (szamorodni). However, botrytis (noble rot) must not exceed 60%. Once the grapes arrive at the Oremus winery, they are left overnight in special vats and gently pressed the next day. The fermentation process for this dessert wine is about 3 to 4 weeks. Then this Tokaj is aged for 18 months in new Hungarian oak barrels.
Food recommendation for the Szamorodni Tokaj Oremus
