This powerful Toscana Rosso from Tenuta Casenuove glides into the glass with a dense purple color. This Italian cuvée reveals in the glass wonderfully complex notes of blueberry, sour cherry, plum and blackberry. In addition, hints of minerals and phenol.
This wine thrills with its straightforward dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine, this Italian naturally enraptures with the finest balance for all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully velvety, fleshy and dense. In the finish, this wine from the wine-growing region of Tuscany finally thrills with beautiful length. There are again hints of acacia and raspberry.
Vinification of Tenuta Casenuove Toscana Rosso
The basis for the powerful Toscana Rosso from Italy are grapes from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in concrete and large wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the powerful Toscana Rosso is aged for another 12 months in oak barriques.
Supper recommendation for Tenuta Casenuove Toscana Rosso
This Italian red wine is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as a companion to veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes, ossobuco or stuffed peppers.
