The light-footed Tradition Sauvignon Blanc from Philipp Kuhn glides into the glass with a brilliant light yellow color. The nose of this white wine from the Palatinate captivates with hints of gooseberry, nashi pear, apple and pear. If we trace the aromatics further, vanilla, oriental spices and dark chocolate are added.
This German wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 3.2 grams of residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine in the high quality wine range, this German wine enchants with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily require sugar. Light-footed and multifaceted, this crisp white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Tradition Sauvignon Blanc reveals itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Palatinate, more precisely from Laumersheim, finally thrills with beautiful reverberation.
Vinification of the Tradition Sauvignon Blanc by Philipp Kuhn
This wine clearly puts the focus on one grape variety, and that is Sauvignon Blanc. Only impeccable grape material was brought in for this exceptionally elegant single-varietal wine from Philipp Kuhn. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for Tradition Sauvignon Blanc are harvested exclusively by hand, without the aid of coarse and less selective machinery. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.
