More information
The Über Grenzen gehen from the wine-growing region of Baden reveals itself in the glass in bright purple. This German cuvée shows wonderfully expressive notes of blueberries, blackberries, black currants and mulberries in the glass. These are joined by hints of cocoa bean, cinnamon and black tea.
This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 4.6 grams of residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine beyond the 4 euro mark, this German wine naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Über Grenzen gehen presents itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate.
Vinification of the Über Grenzen gehen from Weingut Kiefer
The balanced Über Grenzen gehen from Germany is a cuvée, made from the grape varieties Cabernet Mitos, Dornfelder, Dunkelfelder, Prior and Pinot Noir. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
Food recommendation for Weingut Kiefer Über Grenzen gehen
This German wine is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to arugula penne, braised chicken in red wine or stuffed peppers.
