Vinification of the Manz Estate Uelverheimer Schloss Huxelrebe TBA
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Huxelrebe. Only first-class grape material was harvested for this wonderfully elegant single-varietal wine from Weingut Manz. In Rheinhessen, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of loam and loess. The fact that the Huxelrebe grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has a very high influence on the ripening of the grapes. This results, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. After harvesting, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Uelverheimer Schloss Huxelrebe TBA can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months....
