More information
With a little time in the glass, this white wine from the Old World reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of vineyard peach, nectarine, peach and mirabelle plum, rounded off with cocoa bean, gingerbread spice and cinnamon.
The Allegrini Valpolicella presents itself to wine lovers as wonderfully dry. This white wine is never coarse or austere, as you would expect from a wine in the high quality wine range. The texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully dense on the palate. Thanks to the balanced fruit acidity, the Valpolicella flatters the palate with a velvety feel without lacking in juicy liveliness. The finish of this youthful wine from the Veneto wine-growing region is delightfully long. Once again, there are hints of apricot and vineyard peach.
Vinification of the Valpolicella from Allegrini
The balanced Valpolicella from Italy is a cuvée made from the Corvina and Rondinella grape varieties. After the grape harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Valpolicella can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months. Ageing in wooden barrels is followed by a long period of maturation in the bottle, which makes this white wine even more complex.
Recommended pairing for the Valpolicella from Allegrini
This Italian wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It goes perfectly with duck breast with sugar snap peas, stuffed peppers or boeuf bourguignon.
