More information
This Italian cuvée reveals wonderfully expressive notes of plums, blueberries, blackberries and prunes in the glass. There are also hints of vanilla, oriental spices and dark chocolate.
The Monte Zovo Valpolicella is wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or austere, as you would expect from a wine in the high quality wine range. On the palate, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. Thanks to the moderate fruit acidity, the Valpolicella flatters the palate with a velvety sensation without lacking freshness. The finish of this youthful red wine from the Veneto wine-growing region, Valpolicella DOC to be precise, is captivating with a beautiful aftertaste.
Vinification of the Valpolicella from Monte Zovo
The basis for the first-class and wonderfully balanced Valpolicella cuvée from Monte Zovo are Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes. After the grape harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Valpolicella can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
Dining recommendations for Monte Zovo Valpolicella
Ideally enjoy this red wine from Italy at a temperature of 15 - 18°C with ossobuco, braised chicken in red wine or lamb ragout with chickpeas and dried figs.
