More information
The Vi De Visciola from the wine-growing region of the Marche presents itself in the glass in bright golden yellow. Swiveling the glass, one can perceive an excellent balance in this dessert wine, because it does not stand out on the walls of the glass neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. The first nose of Vi De Visciola reveals nuances of sour cherries. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by more fruity-balsamic nuances.
The Vi De Visciola can rightly be described as particularly fruity and velvety, having been vinified with a pleasantly sweet flavor profile. On the palate, the texture of this balanced dessert wine is wonderfully silky, velvety, creamy and dense. The final of this dessert wine from the wine region of Marche finally captivates with beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the soils dominated by clay.
Vinification of Vignamato Vi De Visciola
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Montepulciano. For this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Vignamato, only first-class grapes were brought in. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in the Marche region. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay. Vi De Visciola is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Italian exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
